Happy new year to one and all. Over the past 3 months I've been extremely busy - so much so that unfortunately the plans to have a solo exhibition haven't moved on much... I'm still determined to get that organised in the first half of this year though, so do stay tuned and keep the faith on that front - it will happen!

The upshot of this is that I've had loads of commissions come my way, some of which you can now view in the gallery section of the site - to be honest the whole website is perhaps overdue a facelift, but in the meantime ten new images will surely suffice? I've been doing work for - amongst others - The Times, The Observer Music Monthly, BusinessWeek, TimeOut, Channel 4 (TEN4 Magazine) and the good old Guardian. Additionally, I've had loads of work appear in Institutional Investor - thanks to Diana and the crew there for their ongoing support...

And last, but by no means least, over Christmas I got engaged to the most beautiful girl in the world!

I've just returned home from a month long trip around the North Eastern cities of the United States, which accounted for my first time off since I graduated over two years ago. Firstly I want to thank everyone who generously allowed myself and my girlfriend to stay with them over that period - we had an excellent time. Since my last update I've had a piece published in the New York times, and a video profile and interview with yours truly has been posted on Channel 4's 4talent website. Thanks to Graham and Brian for that... check it out here

I've also had an illustration in the New York Times, and done some work for the Yale Alumni Magazine and the Observer Music Monthly. More details on that soon.

Thanks for tuning in.

Oh and finally a quick note to say that I've changed my official email back to barryfalls@hotmail.com - this is because I know of at least a couple of people who've tried to get me with the previous address and it hasn't got through to me. I'm sorry Albert. Please email me with anything at all.

What a riculous length of time without an update. Ok, to sum up the last six months I've been very busy with work coming in from my agent on both sides of the Atlantic. At last I'm starting to feel like a proper illustrator, with a nice steady flow of work. Over the last while I've done illustrations for the Guardian, the Sunday Telegraph, The New Yorker, Legal And General, the NHS, BusinessWeek and Random House. I'll put up some new work in the gallery section soon - I've also been working away on tons of personal work which I have promised to myself will form the basis of an exhibition in the first half of '08. Looking forward to that very much... in the meantime take care and I'll try to update sooner next time, but then I always say that. No I really will. I really will.

Happy new year!

Over the last month or so I've been busy doing a job for UNICEF, as well as two illustrations for the American magazine Institutional Investor. I've uploaded the magazine jobs to the gallery section of the site - hope you like them. I've also added a couple of other new illustrations that I suppose give a sneak preview of some upcoming personal projects. Enjoy... and don't be a stranger.

Many, many apologies about the lack of updates over the last few months... this has been brought about by a slew of unexpected situations: some personal, some professional. The most significant of these is the news that I am to be represented in the UK and in the USA by the nice people at HEART... this is both an exciting opportunity and a privilege. Check out www.heartagency.com

Also, in the past few months I've been commissioned by Intertrade Ireland, and I'm in the process of completing work for the worthy charity UNICEF. I've also been working away on an extensive array of personal pieces, which you can spot in the gallery. Hope you like them, and check back soon.

Thanks for listening...

Some new work has been added to the site, please peruse it at your leisure. I'd be delighted to hear what you think. On the work front, I have been commisssioned this month by The Reader's Digest... check out the 'RD Living' section in your local newsagent - after you've paid for it obviously.

The new look website is launched! I hope you like the new stripped down, minimal look. More importantly I hope you like the new work that's on here. This is a selection of stuff that I've been working on for the last six months, and I think, at last, it accurately describes who I am and where I want to go. Lots of very exciting things are happening here in London, so I'll post up more stuff soon. In the meantime please enjoy having a look at the new work, and drop me an email if want to make me happy: contact@barryfalls.com

Warmest cheers.
